There
are many great things that you may wish to include in spa
gift baskets. These items range from bath salts to
terry cloth robes! The most important thing to consider when putting
together a spa gift basket is: which items will most relax and soothe
the recipient?
Depending on whom you are giving the spa gift baskets, you are
going to want to include different items.
Here are some of my top picks for items to include in spa gift
baskets:
Terry cloth robe. One thing that makes a spa so relaxing is the
loungewear. Therefore, when you are putting together a great spa
gift basket, you must consider clothing items, too. A terry cloth
robe is the nicest thing to put on after a soothing bath. A good
terry cloth robe is something that the recipient will want to spend
hours in!
Therapeutic slippers. A good spa will treat all parts of your body,
including the feet. A great pair of comfortable slippers is an excellent
item to put in a spa gift basket. It feels so good to put on a pair
of therapeutic slippers when stepping out of bed or out of the tub.
Silk pajamas. A good night sleep can make a person feel as good
as just about anything else can. Nothing feels better than putting
on a pair of soft, silk pajamas and slipping into bed (quite literally
“slipping!”)
An eye mask. There are many different types of eye masks that you
can give. Consider a giving a cooling and soothing gel eye mask
or one filled with fragrant and soothing lavender. You may even
want to include a black-out sleeping eye mask, to ensure that the
recipient gets that good night sleep!
Face mask. You should definitely include a face mask in your spa
gift basket. It is amazing how refreshed your face feels and looks
after a good face mask.
Hand-held massager. Give the recipient a great tool to work out
the kinks in his or her neck that still remain after a soothing
bath. There are some great vibrating massagers as well as others
that work by applying pressure.
Bath gels, bubble bath, bath oils, bath salts. There are a whole
lot of possibilities out there to make a bath more soothing. When
choosing bath items, choose soothing “flavors” like
lavender, chamomile, rosemary, mint, and thyme. Or choose scents
that are supposed to create different moods (like romantic or energized,
etc.)
Scented candles. Again, with candles, you can play around with the
different moods that can be created. A little aromatherapy can go
a long way. It is best to have the candle scents and the bath scents
match or play well together.
Lotions. A light facial moisturizer, a good body cream, a peppermint
foot lotion, and a heavy duty hand cream can all be included. After
all, different parts of the body deserve different types of lotion.
You would not want to use the same lotion on your face that you
use on your feet!
Again, no matter what you decide to include in your spa gift baskets,
be sure to have the recipient in mind. Perhaps the most soothing
and relaxing thing that one person would want is incense, while
another person is most soothed by chocolate!
