 Secretary's
Day gift baskets are wonderful gifts that can aptly
show your appreciation for all that your secretaries and other administrative
professionals do. As a secretary myself, I have received many different
gifts on Secretary's Day, and Secretary's Day gift baskets
are generally my favorite to receive.
This is because Secretary's Day gift baskets are generally full
of gift after gift of yummy treats or fun items. Gift baskets are
like the gifts that keep on giving. Some people might prefer gift
certificates, but not me! I would much rather receive a gift, like
a Secretary's Day gift basket, that shows that my boss was truly
thinking of me and what I like.
What should you include in Secretary's Day gift baskets?
Stray from giving office supplies! Give a gift that is totally
disassociated from all the hard work that your secretary does. Do
not give your secretaries items that seem as though they are meant
to improve their good work. Give gifts that are truly just for them,
and not in the least bit for yourself, too.
Flower or plant gift baskets. There is nothing like flowers or a
plant to brighten up a workspace and make it more cheerful. There
are many different varieties of flowers and plants that you could
give. Make sure that you give some that reflect the personality
of the recipient.
Candy. Chocolates and other sweets may seem like a very basic gift,
but I know that they are the sort of gift that I will always enjoy!
Oftentimes, when I receive candy, I will eat my fill, and then set
the rest out to share with my coworkers. You can even give chocolate
bars with Secretary Day wrappers that include a personal message.
Spa sets. These can be included in Secretary's Day gift baskets
for both men and women. Everyone deserves a chance to relax, especially
after a long and hard day's work.
Sport gift baskets. If you know that your secretary or other administrative
professionals really like a certain sport or team, give them a football
gift basket or a Chicago Bulls gift basket, etc. If possible, include
a couple of tickets to a sporting event, as well.
Cookie gift baskets. These are not actually my favorite sort of
Secretary's Day gift baskets to receive. Nonetheless, I have heard
many other administrative professionals rave about them!
Car gift basket. Give your secretary a car gift basket, filled with
quarters (for the car wash), a “Thank you” key chain,
home car washing supplies, a vanity plate, and a better parking
spot in your company car lot!
Movie Night. Give your administrative professionals something fun
and relaxing to look forward to after work. I know that I early
stated that I do not love gift certificates, but if it is clear
that a lot of thought went behind that gift certificate, then it
is great. For a movie night gift basket, include a rental card to
a local video store, microwaveable popcorn and a popcorn bowl, movie
size candy, a comfy movie pillow, and/or movie tickets to a local
theater.
