Sure, you can buy and give a gift… or you can buy and give a gift set. What is the difference? Well, a gift is something more singular in nature. A gift set, on the other hand, is a present that is full of great stuff.

And we Americans all know that more is better. It is so much more fun to open a present that has not just one, but 2 or 5 or more items in it. And when all of these items coordinate, it can be a mighty fine gift set.

Here are some of my favorite gift set ideas:

• Coffee gift set. Sure, you can give a bag of coffee, but why not give a few bag of gourmet coffee with demitasse cups and saucers, a double ibrik, and/or a French press? You can even throw in some biscotti or a travel mug. Natasha Café has some beautiful coffee gift sets.
• Bath gift set. The sky is the limit when it comes to great possibilities for bath gift sets. You can pick out your favorite flavor of lotion, and find the matching bath gel, shampoo, candle, lip gloss, and hand cream to pair with it. You can even throw in a loofah or face mask. Sephora has some unique bath gift sets, and Sam Soap has some beautiful ones, as well.
• Candle gift sets. You can choose from many different flavors, colors, and sizes. Match them up with some beautiful candle sticks or candle holders. Send them in a stylish box. You can find some fantastic candle gift sets at 100 Candles.
• Breakfast gift sets. These make excellent gifts because everyone needs and loves food! And breakfast is the favorite meal of many different people. You can find breakfast gift sets with pancake mix and syrup. Or you can find one with coffee, jam, tea, and biscuits. There are many possibilities for this sort of gift. • Baby gift sets. A baby gift set is the perfect gift for new parents. You can fill it with all of the important things that you found were helpful as you raised your baby. You may want to put into it onesies, pacifiers, bottles, and diapers. Or, you can even take it one step further and go with a theme, like “safety baby gift set.” With such a theme as “safety,” you can include soft faucet covers, outlet covers, cabinet locks, and other such items.
• Chocolate gift sets. Alright, so I have saved the best for last. I absolutely love chocolate, and one bar is never enough! You can give a chocolate sampler, and you can be sure that it will be appreciated. You can fill it with dark chocolate, white chocolate, milk chocolate, creams and chews, etc. You can include brownie mixes, chocolate recipes, hot chocolate mix, and anything else “chocolate” that you can imagine.

One of the best things about giving a gift set is that you can be creative. You can think of a certain theme and then think of multiple gifts that fall under that theme. All of the above examples belong to simple themes like “coffee” or “bath,” but you could do a “Cinderella theme” and give household cleaning supplies, pumpkin soup mix, a pair of slippers (maybe even some glass ones!),
