Books make excellent baptism gifts. Of course, not just any book makes a great baptism gift. Make sure that you give a book that is appropriate for the occasion. If you need help thinking of what sort of book makes the best baptism gift, do not worry. We have a great list of wonderful books, right here:

• The bible – of all baptism gifts, book-related or not, the holy bible is the most important. There are many, many beautiful editions of the bible out there. To make the gift extra special and meaningful, have it personalized with the person's name and date of baptism.
• A baby book – baby's change so much every day, it can be hard to keep track of all the changes and “firsts.” A baby book is a perfect item to include a summary about the baptism, when the baby took his first steps, what his first word was, funny things that he did, etc. It is important to be able to hold onto precious memories, and a baby book helps keep track of them. Record the development of your baby.
• Photo album – some photos of the baby will surely go into the baby book, but there will be hundreds, even thousands, more that will need a place to go. There are many beautiful photo albums available that can house these important and precious photos.

• “The Sneetches and Other Stories” – you may not have thought that a Dr. Seuss book would make it onto this list of baptism gifts, but The Sneetches can truly teach children how much God loves them, just the way that they are.
• “Big Book of Ideas for Children's Faith Formation: Fun Activities, Projects, Crafts” – this is a book that is full of ideas that children will love to play and do and think about as they get older. The craft ideas are very simple as are the games, so this makes a great baptism gift for a young child.
